Pacific Information Advocacy Support Services (PIASS) Trust was established in December 2000 and is the longest-serving provider in New Zealand. We work to promote and advance the welfare, physical, spiritual, mental development, and wellbeing of Pacific people within the greater Auckland region. This involves educating and advising Pacific disabled and older peoples on support services and how to access them.
Our most significant contribution to the Pacific disability space, is the key role we have played in establishing a number of leading disability organisations such as;
Taikura Trust (2002)
and Vaka Tautua (2007) with Malologa Trust.
Our disability information, support services and older peoples services are delivered by
Vaka Tautua.
Established in 2002, Taikura Trust is contracted by the Ministry of Health to provide needs assessment and service coordination to people with disabilities. It is the largest provider of this service in New Zealand, with 1 out of 3 disabled people receiving Support. Taikura Trust is founded on the values of inclusion, diversity and is dedicated to supporting disabled people and their families.
At Dauntless Blue, we work with organisations, companies, and communities to deliver positive change for our people and the world we live in. We work with organisations that have a drive and a passion to increase and support diversity and Inclusion within their organisation. We can support you to review approaches you may be using, help to articulate some of the challenges you face as you seek the benefits that diversity, inclusion, justice and equity can bring and outline some techniques for meeting these challenges. Our approach is to work in partnership with you and your people in three key areas; Systems, Culture and Behaviour.
